Obituary of Joseph Bonaffine

Bonaffine, Joseph J. Irondequoit: August 28, 2011, age 88, after a courageous journey with cancer, at home with his loving family at his side. Predeceased by his brother, Charles and granddaughter, Jaime LaRosa. Survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Viola (Zanni) Bonaffine; daughters, Carol LaRosa, Joanne (Michael) Marsh, Michele (Glenn) Davenport; loving grandchildren, Ssg Jason LaRosa, Chad and Lindsey Davenport, Michael Marsh; great-granddaughter, Adrianna LaRosa; his sister, Millie (Philip) Furnari; sister-in-law, Ruth (Michael) Devlin; also many other sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. Joe was a member of V.F.W. Thomas F. Healy Post #16 and the American Legion Cottreall Warner Post. He was a very proud Army Veteran of WW II and served in Normandy France. Memorial calling hours THURSDAY 4-8 at the Falvo Funeral Home, 1395 N. Goodman St. On FRIDAY family and friends are asked to go directly to St. Frances Cabrini Church at St. Andrew's (923 Portland Ave.) for the Celebration of his Funeral Mass at 10 AM. Those wishing may make donations to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 1500 Rosecrans Ave., Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, CA., 90266. Interment Holy Sepulchre.
