Obituary of Thomas Baccanti

Baccanti, Thomas G. Irondequoit: On March 24, 2011, age 93. Predeceased by his wife, Helen (Ricchio) and by his sisters, Carrie, Betty and Josephine. Survived by his son, Thomas (Laurie) Baccanti; grandchildren, Nicole, Michael and Andrea; his sister, Mary Miller; sister-in-law, Amy Ricchio; many nieces, nephews and friends. Tom was a retiree of EI DuPont with 36 years of service. He was a combat Sergeant in the 8th Army, 108 Infrantry in the Pacific during WWII. He participated in the battles at Guadal Canal, New Guinea, New Britain, The Philippine Islands, and the Salomo Islands. Calling Wednesday 4-8 at the Falvo Funeral Home, 1295 Nine Mile Point Rd. (Route 250, Webster). Funeral Thursday 10 AM from the Funeral Home and 10:30 in the Creation Chapel at White Haven Memorial Park (210 Marsh Rd.) with entombment to follow. A special thanks to the staff at the Heritage at St. Ann's for the care Tom received these past 4 years. Tom was a devoted and beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle and will be missed by all.
