Obituary of Frank Geraci

Geraci, Frank J. Irondequoit/Webster: Passed away peacefully in his sleep Friday night, March 18, 2011, at age 96. He is pre-deceased by his wife, Louise of 63 years and his brother, Anthony. He is survived by his son James (Marlene) of San Diego; his brother Peter (Marion) and sisters Anne (Joseph) Giambrone and Gloria Geraci; sisters-in-law Rose Geraci, Laura Scarlata and many nieces and nephews. Frank was a member of the Greatest Generation, a WWII veteran who served in the Army Air Corps Intelligence in France and England planning Allied bombing missions. Despite lifelong back problems, he was an accomplished athlete in high school in track and field, baseball in his early twenties, and a seasoned gun and bow hunter (bagging a sizeable buck with his trusty bow at the age of seventy-five), a skillful fisherman and an avid bowler and golfer over his entire life. He was a a loving and supportive husband and father and the kindest person we've ever known and will be missed deeply and forever. No prior calling hours. Frank's memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, March 23rd at 11 AM in St. Paul's Church (783 Hard Road, Webster, NY). Inurnment Private. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to The Veterans of Foreign Wars.
