Obituary of Joan Tudisco

Tudisco, Joan (nee Giovannina Fulginiti) Rochester Passed away peacefully on May 19, 2012, age 88 with her family by her side. Predeceased by her son, James in 1972, and husband, Anthony in 1989. She is survived by her daughter, Joanne (Melville), son-in-law, Tom; grandchildren, Jessica (Tim) Daniels, Gregory and Drew, and her 2 beloved great-grandsons, Zakk (7) and Wyatt (4); brother and wife, Ralph and Dolly Fulginiti, sister-in-law, Anna Fulginiti; uncle, William Andia, brother-in-law, Joseph Tudisco; and large Italian family of nieces, nephews and cousins. Originally from East Boston, MA, Joan met and married Anthony in 1945. She was employed at Bethlehem Steel, in the East Boston Shipyards, during World War II. They moved to Anthony's home town of Rochester, NY raising their 2 children. Joan's career as a Medical transcriptionist spanned 70 years for Physicians in private practice and Rochester General Hospital. In retirement, they moved to Coral Springs, FL, in 1987 to be near their daughter. She continued to work part-time for a local physician for 25 years. Joan's greatest love was her family, who feel blessed that she is now at peace with God. No prior calling hours. A Mass celebrating Joan's life will be held SATURDAY, May 26th, at 9:30 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church (534 Oxford St.). Interment White Haven Memorial Park.
