Salvatore G. Lombardo "Sam"

Irondequoit:Friday, February 25, 2011 at age 77.

Predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Mary Lombardo; brother and sister-in-law, George and Lena Lombardo; beautiful grandson, Gregory S. Lombardo.

Survived by Josephine (Muratore) Lombardo his beloved wife of 55 years; children, Michael and Jim, Daniel and Alice, Steven and Betsy; grandchildren, Nicholas, Jacob, Lynne and Jordan; special nephew, Joseph (Elena) Lombado; also many other loving nieces and nephews and good friend, Duncan "Monty" Montgomery. Sam was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle, a devout and longtime active member of Corpus Christi Church. He had many interests and worked with Boyscouts, Little League Baseball and the Chuch Youth Group. He liked listening to big band music, dancing and singing. He enjoyed family gatherings, camping, golfing and going to the casino.

No prior calling hours.

Friends and family are invited to a celebration of Sam's life at Our Lady of the America's Church (Corpus Christi, East Main St. at Prince St.) on SATURDAY, MARCH 5 AT 1 PM.

A gathering will be held immediately following the service downstairs at the church.

Interment will be private.
