To Dorothy's Family - I taught at St. Joe's for many years and anytime I stopped in her office I, and everyone, was greeted with a kind word and a big smile. She was hospitable to everyone and made all feel welcome. She spoke often of her family - her children and her sisters. Dorothy helped make St. Joe's a wonderful place to work. She was a great lady! My deepest sympathy to all of her family.

To Dorothy's Beautiful Children,
"A Mother's Love is a blessing no matter where you roam, keep her while she is living you will miss her when she's gone." Words of an old Irish song that remind me of the many blessings you will receive because your Mom's love for all of you was unconditionally and everlasting. There was such joy in her eyes when she spoke of her children how proud she was of the wonderful and caring children they had become. You did keep her while she was living especially the time you spent with her during her illness. I recall her looking at Tara and saying, "How very blessed I am to have her here with me. The other's will be coming soon. I am so blessed." I will miss you Mom dearly. I too feel blessed to have spent many hours of memories and laughter with all of you. May God's joy and peace surround you at this difficult time. Love, Clare

Tara was our children's babysitter back in the 1980's.....whom we all adored. We had an opportunity to meet Dorothy when she came to watch our children for a short while since Tara wouldn't be available until a little later.
Upon her entering our home and meeting our children you could see this was done with a great love of children. When we would run into Dorothy at church or elsewhere she always had the same disposition of genuine kindness and interest.
To this day, we have always thought of beautiful Tara and her lovely mother with much fondness.
Our deepest condolences go to Tara and her family at this difficult time. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Dorothy is the mother of Tara, one of my dearest former music students from Penfield High School. Dorothy was also in my aerobics class over 25 years ago! Although Dorothy was the same age as my own mother, she had more energy than everyone else in that exercise class, including those who were half her age. When everyone else was moaning and groaning from the strain of lifting weights on the floor mats, we could always look at Dorothy for motivation. She would be smiling with her weights, enjoying the "fun". Dorothy inspired me to continue attending that aerobics class, where I ultimately met my husband! Whenever I would run into Dorothy around town, she was always filled with energy and enthusiasm, and wanted to know what was happening in my life and with my family. She exemplified the French saying, "joie de vivre"! Tara inherited her mother's zest for life. I am so happy to have known Dorothy. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.

I met Dorothy for the first time this past summer after having known her daughter Tara for nearly twenty years. Tara has been such a great friend and inspiration to me over all that time, and after chatting with her mom it was easy to see where much of Tara's wisdom and beauty came from. I'm so glad I had the chance to meet this amazing woman. She'll be dearly missed.
