Comfort, Patrick Joseph Jr. "Gash" Irondequoit: May 7, 2012 Age:80. Predeceased by his wife, Mamie; parents, Joe and Peggy Comfort, brother, Bobbie Comfort and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Durante. Survived by his son's, P. Joseph Jr. (Shelly) & John (Margo) Comfort; grandchildren, Joe, Schauna and Kayleigh; his sisters, Rosalie (Joe deceased)Celestino, Janet (Frank deceased) Vinci; brothers, Jimmy and Paul (Elaine) Comfort; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Millie Comfort, Tom (Cora) Paglia, John (Dolores deceased) Paglia; also survived by Patti Tiberio and close friend, Theresa Coast. Gash was a devoted grandfather and friend. As well as a graduate of East High and Syracuse University. SU Basketball was his passion. Joe was also a veteran of the U.S.A.F. and a 73 year member of the downtown YMCA. Joe workedas a Building Inspector for the City of Rochester before retiring. He was a strong supporter of Unions, Veterans and any liberal cause. Calling 4-8 PM WEDNESDAY at the Falvo Funeral Home, 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Point Rd.(Route 250) Webster. On THURSDAY please meet the family at 9 AM in St. Frances Cabrini at Our Lady of Americas Church (Corpus Christi,Main St. at Prince) for the Celebration of his Funeral Mass.
