Jack will surely be missed for so many reasons. Not only will I miss him, but the chance to talk with his children and grandchildren when they visited. They were his most treasured relationships. Their names always came up when we sat and talked at least once a month. Saw him more, but the other times were quite brief. He was so very proud of them. I think he could be said to glow when their names came up. Jack and Marie were such a pleasure as neighbors. They were there but in no way intrusive. Always talked when we were out in the yard. Enjoyed them so very much. I could always count on them to have whatever I needed in the food department when I didn't want to walk to the store. It will be a less friendly place with Jack gone. Recent visits have made me aware that his death was so very close. My heart says "Rest in peace Jack. You were a real trooper." My sincere sympathy to his wonderful children and grandchildren. I'm sure you know he loved you dearly.

To Jack's family: I am so sorry for your loss. Jack was the first person I met when I moved into my house next door. I enjoyed our talks over the backyard fence, sharing Halloween, and chatting about anything and everything. He was always smiling and enjoyed telling stories. I will miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
