Obituary of Sheila Mitchell

Mitchell, Sheila (Conheady) Rochester: Died gracefully March 18, 2012. Age 78. A strong woman and devout Roman Catholic who loved her family deeply. Predeceased by her brothers, Herbert Conheady (Patricia), Richard Conheady; sister, Jean Hanning; brother-in-law, William McKenna; and former husband, William Mitchell. Survived by her children, Mary, Michael (Bonnie), William, Matthew (Lorita), Sarah, and Andrew (Julie) Mitchell, Johanna (Michael) Karr; grandchildren, Amanda, Samantha, Alexandra, Matthew, William, Nicole, Ryan, Sidney, Liam, Lily; sisters, Mary McKenna, Eileen Conheady SSJ, sister-in-law, Shirley Conheady; brother-in-law, David Hanning; also several extended family members. Calling WEDNESDAY 2-4 & 7-9 at the Falvo Funeral Home, 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Pt Road (Rte 250 in Webster). On THURSDAY family and friends are asked to go directly to Blessed Sacrament Church (259 Rutgers St., Roch., 14607) for the celebration of her Funeral Mass at 10 AM. Interment, private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Ann's Home Foundation, 1500 Portland Ave., Roch., 14621. A dedicated mathematics instructor for 40 + years at RIT, she was highly respected by students and colleagues alike. She earned her BS at Nazareth College and her MS at Marquette University. She had an insatiable zest for learning and an endless sense of curiosity.
