Obituary of Bruce Allen Reitz

Bruce A. Reitz, of Webster, New York, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was 82.

Born in Irvington, NJ, on September 18, 1943, he was the son of the late Otto and Ethel Reitz.

Bruce spent much of his life in Webster, NY with a career at Xerox, where he was a self-taught and highly accomplished engineer. He had a remarkable ability to understand how things worked and enjoyed using his skills throughout his life, whether building his first home or repairing things around the house. A quiet, thoughtful, kind, and generous man who devoted himself to his family, Bruce never missed his children's activities and was a constant supporter of his daughter Jennifer and son James. 

He is survived by his wife, Marcia Ann Reitz; his daughter, Jennifer Lynn Reitz; his son, James Peter Reitz and daughter-in-law, Libby Reitz; his stepdaughter, Tammie Bixby and her husband, Chris; his brother, Ronald Reitz; his sister, Joyce Reitz; and his step-grandchildren and extended family. He was predeceased by his parents, Otto and Ethel Reitz, and his first wife, Marie.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 4-7 PM with a Service on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 11:00 AM, both at Falvo Funeral Home, 1295 Fairport Nine-Mile Point Road, Webster, New York 14580.
