Jil, thank you for all you've done. During my time coming in Intervarsity at RIT, you have been nothing but gentle and welcoming to someone who was healing from religious trauma. Even when anxiety was getting the better of me and I couldn't make it to meetings, you kept reaching out to me to make sure I was okay. You didn't even know me that well, you just did it because you cared.
I remember the last time we talked was over email and I said thank you. I had a lot of trouble trying to find a Christian community at RIT and while I was iffy even up there as a student, I realized towards the end of my time at RIT that Intervarsity, the place you helped foster, was that community for me.
It's because of people like you that I'm becoming comfortable stepping inside of a church. I'm somehow serving in the worship team at my church. I don't think I would be doing that if it wasn't for you being.... you. You opened yourself to be used by God and He used you as an example of His Love. And I'm sure there's so many stories like mine; you were just an incredible kind woman.
Thank you for being an example of Christ, we'll meet again

Jill, was a bundle of laughter and wonderful memories. I remember many times at Wildwood, games/youth events, worship, down time in the Herman camper, late-night conversations about anything and nothing at all, sitting on the crest of the him at night gazing at the stars and just being present.
Stephanie, Kate, Matt, Dick and Cathy, my heart is with you and the rest of the family as you reflect and celebrate her beautiful life, and in the days ahead as you feel her absence. This pain is temporary, but ever present. May God grant you the peace and strength in the days ahead and give you great comfort and confidence I knowing Jill is home. Heaven is fuller, and we will be together again. Grace and peace and so much love. To Mr Carter and your children, though I did not know you, my heart is with you all, me Jesus wrap you in his arms and hold you close.

I first met Jileen as a little girl, when she directed friends and me in the children’s choir of our very first show with NAC. I went on to work with her in future shows where I was constantly blown away by her immense talent, kind heart, and gracious humility. A beautiful force of nature, she will be so missed.

My most heartfelt condolences. Jill brought a piece of Heaven to earth with her when she was born, and she shone bright with its light all her life. I supervised Jill in her campus staff role with InterVarsity. Her love for God and others was deep and real and her sense of humor kept me laughing continually. Her life enriched mine and all those who knew her. Heaven is richer.

Jill came into our lives as though we have known her forever. A definite Kindred Spirit made the connections. Her enthusiasm kept us all on point and leaning on the everlasting arms of Jesus.

She always brought laughter, with her cheeky sense of humor, right alongside her incredible faith and love of people in general, and youth in particular. I loved every conversation we ever shared over the years over the almost 20 years of knowing her. I don’t see her a lot in person, but every encounter was such a joy, and I am grateful for each of those moments. I look forward to eternity with her and am grateful that she can rest in the life she now lives on the other side of eternity away from broken bodies and complicated emotions. I pray she is enjoying sitting at the feet of Jesus and directing the plays on the heavenly stage. :) let me use my imagination! We love you still and forever, Jil. See you later.

Praying for you in these days. I rest assured that we will gather all together again one day, just inside that Eastern Gate. So many great memories growing up together at Wildwood and the many youth events, and times at your home. Jill was always a great friend. Her smile was infectious, her love was sincere. Our hearts are broken as are yours. Jill was a gift from heaven shared with so many people. She was well loved at Wildwood Christian Camp my boys loved her. She had the voice of an angel. If only I could hear her one more time. She is with the God she loved. She'll be missed.
