Obituary of Rosalee Olek

Greece, NY– Rosalee Olek passed away on August 22, 2026 at age 79. She was predeceased by her daughter, Sandra Crusoe; sister, Bonnie Sue Zicari.

Rosalee is survived by her daughters, Stacey Brown and Sheri Alberti; brothers, John and Anthony Butera; grandchildren, Terry, Rick, Amber, Kindle, and Sara Brown, Samantha and Jacob Alberti, and Madison and Chelsea Crusoe; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Rosalee was born in Germany, her family came to Rochester shortly after she was born. She attended Frederick Douglas High school, and went on to receive a cosmetology license.

Rosalee worked as a hairdresser for nearly 45 years, running her own shop. Generations of clients sat in her chair, and many of them became friends. She loved Hallmark and Gameshows, cooking and collecting magnets from around the world.

Rosalee was also a family woman. She loved spending holidays with family, where she would pull out board games to pass the time while the food cooked. She adored her dogs, Joey and Mickey. She was proud of her daughters and of all nine of her grandchildren.
