Obituary of Carol N. DiFiore

In Loving Memory of Carol N. DiFiore April 16, 1944-August 22, 2026

Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on August 22, 2026, at age 82.

Carol and her husband Foster were Highschool sweethearts who married in 1965 and started their lives together in Norton village. They chose to start a family on Hurstbourne Road with children Brian, Michael, & Kristine. It was at this home, where they built lasting relationships with neighbors that continue on today.

Carol would make sure their home was always open to any and all. Including their homes in Henderson Harbor & Florida where they added even more friendships and loved ones. They would host many parties and Carol always paid meticulous attention to details. One such party was Carol and Foster’s 25th wedding anniversary at the Rochester Convention Center. Her exhaustive planning was undercut when the city decided to change the time of the New Year’s Eve fireworks display. She received the Golden Pen award for her letter to the editor objecting to the city’s early fireworks decision.

Along the way, they celebrated their children getting married to their own sweethearts; Carol and Foster setting a guiding example for a lasting love and marriage. Soon followed by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart. She would often bring her family on many trips. Trips ranging from camping with her kids to Caribbean vacations with her grandkids, and a memorable family trip to Rehoboth Beach. Her and her family would retell stories from these trips frequently and with loving nostalgia.

Carol was active in various activities, beginning with bowling and followed with tennis and golf. She enjoyed many a girl’s golf and tennis trips. She would recount these memories always and often.

Carol leaves behind a legacy for her children & their families to carry forward. A legacy of lasting love, abundant laughter, tears in good times & bad, hard work, an adventurous spirit, and mutual respect for one another. Carol: Devoted wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, you are forever in our hearts.
