Spencerport: August 6, 2026.

Predeceased by her husband Peter, her parents,  Charles and Providenza Trapani and siblings: Salvatore, Antonio, Vincenzo, and Joseph Trapani, Carolina Lubberts, and Michela DiRisio.
Survived by her sons Joseph and Carl Diliberto, daughter Marisa Diliberto (Steve Scott); and grandchildren, Peter and Gerald Diliberto, and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours Thursday, August 13th from 4-7pm at Falvo Funeral Home, 1395 N. Goodman St. Please meet the family on Friday at 10:00 AM at St. Theodore's Church for her Funeral Mass. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Maria immigrated to the United States on December 8th, 1950, from Villalba, Sicily.  She married Peter Diliberto and settled in Rochester, N.Y., where they had 3 children. Maria became a licensed part-time beautician and full-time homemaker. She was a second mom to many nieces, nephews, and friends. Her grandsons, Peter and Gerry, were the apples of her eye.

People would always be welcomed into her home with a warm smile, a cup of coffee, and some of her famous cookies. She would never arrive to a party or function empty handed. She possessed a strong Catholic faith and cherished early memories and customs, from her hometown, many of which were from religious holidays. She hosted legendary Thanksgiving holiday dinners for over 50 years. Family looked forward to Thanksgiving with enthusiasm and anticipation. Family was everything to her.
