In Loving Memory of Maria Mercedes Morales July 31, 1965 – August 2, 2026
With heavy hearts and unwavering faith, we announce the passing of Maria Mercedes Morales, who entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on August 2, 2026, at the age of 61. Born on July 31, 1965, in Guayama, Puerto Rico, Maria lived a life defined by love, faith, compassion, and generosity. She was a woman whose smile could brighten any room and whose joyful spirit made her the life of every gathering. Her laughter was contagious, her heart was open to all, and her presence brought comfort and happiness wherever she went. Above all, Maria was a woman of deep faith and reverence for the Lord. She lived out her faith through kindness, humility, and service to others. She never hesitated to offer a helping hand, a listening ear, or words of wisdom to anyone in need. Her strength, grace, and unwavering love made her an extraordinary mother, devoted family member, and cherished friend.
Maria is survived by her beloved husband, Carlos Luis Figueroa, her beloved children, Charita Rivera, Erving Antonio Rivera Morales, and Carlos Berrios. She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings, Héctor Rodriguez, María D. Báez, she was preceded in death by her sister, Eusebia Garcia Rodriguez; Concepción Reyes, María V. Morales, and Carmen Ramos, as well as many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, extended family members, and countless friends whose lives were touched by her kindness.
Though her absence leaves an immeasurable void, we find peace in knowing that she has been welcomed into the eternal presence of the Lord she faithfully served. Her love, wisdom, strength, and unwavering faith will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. She fought the good fight, she finished the race, she kept the faith.
