Obituary of Walter Joseph Igharas

Walter J. Igharas


April 10, 2026, at age 49. Predeceased by his father, Roy Igharas. Survived by his loving wife, Suzette; children, Maxwell, Chadwick, Gavin, and Ashton; mother, Concepcion Igharas; brothers, Ryan (Sharon) Igharas and Phillip Igharas; nephews, Mateo, Avery, and Nathan; and many extended family members and dear friends.

Walter was born and raised in Toronto, Canada, where he was the eldest of three brothers with whom he shared a close bond. He attended St. Gabriel Lalemant elementary school and Mother Teresa secondary school, and later graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelors of Science degree. It was there that he met Suzette, beginning a lifelong partnership rooted in faith and love.

Following their disciplinary studies, Walter and Suzette continued their journey together before settling in Rochester, NY, where they were married in 2008. Walter worked in the field of Information Technology and was known for his dedication, skill, and experience.

Walter was a devoted husband, and a proud father. He was deeply loved by his family and will be remembered for his perseverance, optimism, and honesty. He touched many lives through his kindness, wisdom, and enduring love, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Falvo Funeral Home. On Friday, please join the family at 12:00 PM for his Funeral Mass at St. Rita Catholic Church in Webster, NY. Interment private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Walter’s memory may be made to his children’s schools, St. John Bosco School in East Rochester and St. Ambrose School in Rochester (city).
