Obituary of Richard Charles Lamb

WEBSTER- Richard Charles Lamb, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family.  

 

Richard was born in Buffalo, NY on October 22, 1937, to the late Charles and Verna Lamb. He served his country honorably in the United States National Guard and worked at Kodak for 25 years. His hobbies included sailing Lake Ontario, and biking along the Erie Canal. Richard was active in the family genealogy. Richard traced the family to Stephen Hopkins and Thomas Rogers of the Mayflower. Thomas Lambe (first ancestor in America) came over with the 1630 Winthrop fleet.  

 

He was the beloved husband to Louise Lamb for over 65 years. Together they raised four boys.  

 

Richard is predeceased by his brother Robert Lamb. 

 

He is survived by his wife Louise, formally of Salamanca NY. Eldest son, Jeffrey and wife Marianne of Webster and their children Zachary and wife Kate with their 3 children Fletcher, Grayson and Bennett of McKinney, Texas. Dr. Jordan and Fiancé Conner of Fairport, NY. Son James and wife Michelle of Clay, NY. Son John and wife Kim with their 3 children Michael and son Tyler, Kaylin and Christina.  Richard C Lamb II and wife Frances of Lakeland, FL. Two sisters-in-law Romaine Case of Cattaraugus, NY and Susan O’Dell of Great Valley, NY, and nephews Robert of Buffalo, NY and Steven Lamb of Tonawanda, NY.

 

Calling hours will be held at Falvo Funeral Home 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Point Road, Webster, NY 14580, on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 4:00-6:00 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Church,  1460 Ridge Road, Webster, NY 14580, on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 10:30 am, with a burial to follow at White Haven Memorial Park, Pittsford, NY.
