Obituary of Patrick M. Chatt
Patrick Michael Chatt, deeply beloved husband, father and friend, passed away April 3rd, 2026, at Rochester General Hospital.
He was born August 15th, 1963, in Rochester, New York, and was predeceased by his father Peter J. Chatt, his mother Thelma Jean Chatt (Nieman), and his sister Patricia “Robin” Chatt Picard.
He is survived by his loving wife Carolyn; 3 children Lindsay Chatt, Michael (Rebecca) Chatt, and Kristina (Jacob) Thide; stepson Casey Collis; two granddaughters; Siblings Terry Ann Chatt Mason, Cheryl Ann Chatt, Thomas Chatt, and Peter Chatt.
Patrick served proudly in the 1st Infantry Division of the United States Army. He retired in 2025 after 38 years of service at Rochester General Hospital, the last 14 years of his career as a Surgical Technician, making a name for himself within the organization. He was known for his sense of humor, his undying belief in the Buffalo Bills, and his deep love for his family, among so many other great things.
Patrick’s legacy of laughter, love, and perseverance will be carried forward by those who had the privilege of loving him. He will be so greatly missed and forever remembered.
A service open to the public will be held at 10:30 AM on May 2nd, 2026, at Church of the Holy Spirit in Webster, NY (1355 Hatch Road). We invite all who knew and loved Patrick to join us in honoring him. A separate celebration of life will be announced and held by family at a later date.
