Obituary of Andrew S. Hansen
Andrew Scott Hansen
Penfield: Surrounded by his loving family, Andrew passed away March 15, 2026 at age 58. He was born in Norwich, NY to Bernt J. Hansen Sr. and Sandra M. Hansen on April 2, 1967. He was a graduate of Afton Central High School in 1985 before attending the University at Buffalo and SUNY Binghamton for a degree in mechanical engineering. Andrew went on to co-found Empire Tech Solutions in 2004 where he enjoyed many years of success.
Many recall Andrew as brilliant, funny, kindhearted and determined. He enjoyed a good cup of coffee, his many animals, cheering on the NY Rangers and Buffalo Bills, and always having a project underway.
Family remained at the center of his life. Andrew loved the time he spent with his wife, whether traveling together, exploring local breweries or simply enjoying every day adventures side by side. He was always interested and took great pride in supporting his children in all their academics and ventures. Some of his happiest moments were the visits filled with laughter from his grandchildren who loved to color, play, and run through the house.
Andrew was a devoted husband, son, father, grandfather and brother who made those around him feel deeply loved and cared for. We take comfort in imagining him reunited with his beloved mother who predeceased him. He will be dearly missed and warmly remembered.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Marissa L. Hansen; his father, Bernt J. Hansen Sr; his children, Ryan A. (Rosemary) Behmer Hansen, Autumn K. (Dugan) Terwilliger, and Kristian A. (Nicole) Hansen; stepchildren, Tyler A. (Casandra) Straka and Lindsay N. Straka; grandchildren, Scott J. and Andrew L. Behmer Hansen, Julius A. and Camille R. Terwilliger, and Josefine A. Hansen; brothers, Bernt J. (Donna) Hansen Jr and Craig H. (Linda) Hansen; sister, Karen Q. (Tom) Moisan; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Sunday, March 22, from 11AM-1PM at Falvo Funeral Home, 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Point Rd., Webster, NY. Service and interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome donations to the Colorectal Cancer Alliance (colorectalcancer.org) and/or the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (mmrf.org).
