Obituary of Robert Henry Carl Jr.

WEBSTER, NY- Robert "Bob" Henry Carl Jr., 76, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was born in the Bronx, NY on July 26, 1949 to the late Robert and Dorothy Carl. He was the devoted husband to Patricia "Patty" Carl for almost 56 years and they were inseparable. Together they raised three children – Kathleen Schaertel (Tim), Robert Carl III (Julia), Jeffrey Debies-Carl (Melissa) and four sweet dogs (Kisses, Chaos, Bailey, Penny)

He graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) with a BS in electrical engineering and worked for many years in that field.

He also served as an election inspector as often as he could.

Bob was down-to-earth, took things in stride and was always ready to stop what he was doing to help others out. He loved tools and gadgets, hanging out with friends and dogs at “Woofs Indoor Dog Park,” competitive shooting, camping in his self-built cabin, bargain shopping, bowling with his league, reading and the Buffalo Bills!

Other loving family members include: Brother Steve Carl (Bette-deceased), Brother Ronald Carl (Jaci), Sister Alison (Joe), Sister-in law and brother-in-law Kathy and Steve Schober as well as wonderful nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He will be greatly missed by not only his human family and friends, but also by his “best girl” Penny puppy and his grand-puppies.

Calling Hours will be held at Falvo Funeral Home, 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Point Road, Webster, NY 14580, on Saturday, March 21, 2026 from 11:00am-1:00pm, with a memorial service at 1pm.

Family requests any donations be made to “Tunnel to Towers Foundation” or “The Humane Society at Lollypop Farm”
