Obituary of Rosaria Privitera

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Rosaria Privitera, who left us on March 5, 2026, at the wonderful age of 91. Rosaria, a devoted wife, mother and friend left a legacy of love and laughter.

Rosaria is predeceased by her husband Jack, her son Salvatore, and her sister Giuseppina (Rosario) Panzavecchia. She is survived by her son Frank and her daughter Enza ( Peter Risden); Brothers, Antonino (Rosa) Ippolito and Salvatore “Franco” (Cologera) Ippolito; Brothers and Sisters in law Joseph (Filomena) Privitera, Sebastiano (Lina) Privitera; many cousins and dear friends.

She was born in Valledolmo, Sicily. She moved to the United States after meeting and marrying her beloved husband, Jack. Both being tailors, they opened a tailor shop and raised 3 children. Rosaria was a light that shined bright in the lives of her family and friends and missed more than words can say.

Calling hours Thursday, 3/12/26 from 4-7pm at Falvo Funeral Home, 1395 N. Goodman St. Rochester, NY 14609. Please meet on Friday, 3/13/26 at 10am in St. Lawrence Church for the celebration of her Funeral Mass. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
