Obituary of Anthony Fiorica

Anthony Fiorica, 88, of Webster, NY, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on February 19, 2026. Born on September 23, 1937 in Real Monte, Sicily.   Anthony was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, and a man known for his kindness and steadfast principles.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Joanne (Masucci) Fiorica; children Patricia Fallone, William Fiorica, and Laurie Fiorica; granddaughters Sydney, Jenna, Alanna, Maiah Fallone and their father Larry Fallone; grandsons Anthony, Joseph, Joshua Fiorica and their mother Melissa Fiorica; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He is reunited in heaven with his parents Irene (LoIacono) and Pasquale Fiorica, brother Joseph (Antonina) Fiorica, and sister Maria Carmella (Alphonso) Sciortino.

He graduated from the Aquinas Institute and St. John Fisher University in Rochester, NY. His professional journey began as a microbiologist and quality control specialist at Ragu Foods, where he dedicated 25 years of service. Later, he joined his family at Jon-Lar Homes as the Residential Operations Manager and contractor favorite. In the tradition of his strong work ethic, Anthony concluded  his working years as a beloved cashier at Wegmans, where he retired in 2020 after 11 years of greeting customers with kindness and serenading them with Italian songs.

Anthony was a man of many passions. He loved gardening and generously shared the fruits of his labor with others. From growing garlic to making his own wine to starting plants in his basement, he found joy in nurturing life. He was a beautiful tenor, often heard singing The Ave Maria. After his first calling as dedicated husband and father, his favorite role was that of a grandfather, cherishing every moment with his grandchildren. A devout Catholic, Anthony faithfully attended mass at Holy Ghost Parish in Gates and Church of the Holy Spirit in Webster, singing hymns with devotion.

Visitation Sunday, February 22, 2026, from 1:00 - 5:00 pm at Falvo Funeral Home, 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Point Rd., Webster, NY. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, February 23, at 10:30 am at Church of the Holy Spirit, 1355 Hatch Rd., Webster, NY.  Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
