Dear Sean and family
It’s literally been a lifetime since I knew you both at St Lawrence and I attended your awesome wedding at the Oak Hill Country Club to witness your beautiful vows. Clearly Nelia has lived a very loving life in family and work and that love has been reciprocated tenfold. Sadly, she has been taken from you and this world far too soon. My heart goes out to you for your loss. I remember her as a very smart, beautiful and somewhat mysterious woman. She made a very positive difference in this world - I am sure that her indelible love and presence will live on in all of us that she has touched

Colleen, Megan, Shauna, and Sean…this makes me so sad to hear. I can still hear her laugh and shenanigans with all of the other bball parents back in the day! I am deeply saddened by Neil’s passing. We worked closely together at the Monroe County Office of Mental Health, and I had the privilege of seeing her dedication to advocacy and advancing diversity firsthand.
She was thoughtful, courageous, and deeply committed to strengthening our behavioral health systems and our community. Her impact was real and lasting.
My heartfelt condolences to her family and all who had the honor of working alongside her.

I am so very sorry to hear of Neilia's passing. I knew her when we were both working on the ACCESS grant for Monroe County. She was the kiindest and most compassionate person I knew. Our community has lost a wonderful and respected colleague.

Having been fortunate enough to serve on many committees and work groups with Nelia over the years, I saw her dedication to improving addiction an mental health services and the significant role she played in increasing coordination amongst agencies.
