Obituary of Joseph Gerald Fabrizi

Joseph Fabrizi, of Rochester, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 12, 2026.

A devoted Catholic, Joseph was a longtime member of St. John the Evangelist Church, where he generously contributed his time and financial support and was instrumental in starting the church’s Bingo program. He also volunteered at the Cancer Support Community at Gilda’s Club Rochester, where he found great joy working with children affected by cancer. He served his country honorably in the United States Army National Guard.

Joe was a proud 35+ year veteran of Rochester Gas and Electric, where he took great pride in his work and his team. For many summers, he taught technical classes at Robert Morris College in Pennsylvania. Along with his father and brother, he was also an owner of Victor Bowl.

He was an avid golfer and racquetball player, along with being a 25+ year member of the downtown YMCA, where he loved the steam room. Joe bowled in leagues for many years and enjoyed watching baseball and football. He loved playing cards and games and spent many happy summers growing his own vegetables at the farm and Violets in his office. Known for his remarkable affinity for numbers, he could solve complex mathematical problems in his head. After retirement, he combined this talent with a passion for stock trading and investing.

Above all, Joe cherished time spent with his family. He especially loved talking with and supporting his two grandsons, encouraging them wholeheartedly in all their activities and passions. He also treasured the many years he spent in Florida with his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie(Tudisco)Fabrizi, as well as his mother and father, Frances and Angelo Fabrizi, brother Richard Fabrizi, and sister Lucinda Seton. Joe is survived by his wife, Susan; his daughters Linda Fabrizi (Blair) Lounsbury and Francine Fabrizi (Kent); his grandsons Connor and Grant Lounsbury; along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives.  Additionally, Susan's children Lauren (Chuck) Stadler, and Tracy Romano, along with grandchildren Keith, Nicholas (Nicole), Melissa Stadler; Ashley and Rachel Romano.
