I was sad to just hear about Bob’s passing. He was a true gentleman. We worked together in the Operations center at Central Trust on East Avenue. We were an elite crew of colleagues and friends with many laughs over the multiple changes we went through together. God’s peace to his beloved family.

Bob was my favorite cousin. We grew up more like siblings than cousins since he came to our house every morning before to attend Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. Many wonderful family memories. When we were teens he even would stop by and help us make the traditional strufoli for Christmas! He was also a high school friend of my Husband. I cannot remember a friend or family member who didn’t like “Bobby”. He was always a good soul and we will miss him.

Throughout all the years living next door to Bob (and Marilynn), I have seen how he was the best of dads, a great husband, brother, son, uncle and an awesome gramps to his grandsons. He will be missed. I pray for his family to find strength, comfort and peace as you all work through your loss. Rest well my friend.

Over the years Bob became the first true friend I have had here. His green Corvette was the first car I ever drove in the late 60s, though I had never driven a car before! Whenever I needed advice, be it on computers, electrical mechanical or plumbing home problems, Bob was always there and I can’t remember how many times I have heard him say ‘I’ll help you with that.” And he always did. We spent numerous hours, days and weeks together sipping cocktails, playing cards and vacationing together. Rest in peace, Bob.

Bob was a wonderful person and the best neighbor that I have ever had and I have lived in several cities/states as well as overseas locations. We shared mutual disdain for our grill "repairs", groused at the critters digging in our lawn, compared lawn mowers until we both settled on electric models and generally talked over the fence about ways to fix the world's problems. Regarding lawn care, he was my alarm clock as to when I needed to mow my lawn - it was right after he started to mow and Lois telling me that "I need to get out there and do our lawn"! For all of this and more, he will be missed.

Bob was a huge part of my life as a child, our families did everything together. I don't remember a time the first 16 years of my life we weren't doing things together, Swimming at Grandma Julies, Boating (pushing down on the boat to get through the bridge to the lake from Irondequoit bay), Snowmobiling, vacations. Building the addition on the house when Marylin mentioned they were thinking about it and my father started demo immediately! We played football in the street, Rob and I played football in school and Lisa was the sister growing up I never had. I can honestly say in all the years being that close Bob was always smiling and had a laugh that was contagious, when he thought something was funny he could not hold back! He was one of the good ones and we will all miss him dearly, Marylin, Bob, Lisa and Rob have been family friends as long as I can remember and always will be.

This is very sad. Bob, was an older brother to me. A friend, the guy who taught me how to throw a baseball, (pretty well i might add), and a football, (not as good as his grandsons); and a steady mentor. I learned more from him about being a homeowner than anyone. And as a husband, father, grandfather, he set a great example. Pretty good euchre player too.
