Gail Richardson

Obituary of Gail Dolan Richardson

Gail Dolan Richardson, 70, of Fairport, NY, passed away unexpectedly on December 16, 2025. Her sudden death leaves a deep and lasting void in the lives of her husband, Steve, her sisters, and their families, her legion of friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. Gail was a woman whose kindness,  compassion, and genuine love for others touched countless lives over the years.

In addition to her husband, Steve and her sisters, Kathleen Ann McGraw, Nancy Jean Hollis, JoannePatricia McDonald, Cynthia Diane Goy, Erin Maureen Menard, and a special niece, Elizabeth. Gail had an extraordinary circle of friends built over a lifetime of meaningful connections. Her professional life was marked not just by dedication and commitment, but by the warmth and humanity she brought into every workplace.

Those who knew Gail often described her as compassionate, generous, caring and kind. Whether you were a human creature or a four-legged creature. She was wonderfully unique in her style and spirit. She loved the color purple, cardinals, flashy jewelry, chic eyeglasses, and clothes, which she loved shopping for! She loved musicals, novels, beading, and the company of good friends.

Gail had a definite impact on all who knew her. Her many friends would say, “to know her, was to love her” As her presence brought laughter, joy, comfort, and light to those around her.

Earth has lost a truly special woman, and Heaven has gained a gentle, loving soul. Gail will be truly missed and forever remembered. When you see a cardinal near, smile and say, “Thanks, Gail. I know you’re with me.”

Love Always, Steve.
