I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Saverio through his son, Joe. What a greeting! A big hug and the greatest smile in the world. Saverio smiled with his entire heart! He truly loved his family. I see this in all of his children and their families. Love is the greatest gift and Saverio knew this because it's how he lived and how he guided his beautiful family. Saverio wrote his name and love on the hearts of everyone who was blessed to know him. How truly blessed we are because of Saveri and his gift of love. Amen. Precious family, you continue to be in my thoughts, my heart and I'm my prayers of His love and Grace. In Jesus mighty name. Amen

I always remember Sam as someone who lights up the room with a great smile and always checking in “how are you?, how is your Mommy and baby” just a sweet, funny, loving man who represents the epitome of a true family man!! You will never be far from my heart because the Monachino family has been like a second family to Me & Brandon and we’re so grateful for that. We are blessed to continue your strong spirit around us that will be palpable all the days of our lives. Your animation, warmth and contagious laugh will be forever missed!

Noi tutti ci stringiamo a voi in un abbraccio di conforto in questo momento così difficile! Zio Saverio è stato un "grande uomo", una rarità, uomo di sani principi, grande lavoratore e padre affettuoso, che ha sempre messo al primo posto la famiglia, per assicurargli benessere e serenità. Zio lascia ai figli e ai nipoti un'eredità di principi morali e grandi valori, che ha saputo trasmettere con "l'esempio", con il suo modo di vivere la vita e con il suo modo di relazionarsi con chi gli stava vicino. Zio Saverio ha vissuto una lunga vita, l'ha vissuta appieno, circondato dall'affetto di una splendida famiglia numerosa (figli, nipoti e pronipoti); adesso riposa in pace nelle grazie di Dio nostro Signore. Ma chi ha lasciato un'eredità così grande, così importante, di valori e principi morali, non muore mai, perché continua a vivere ogni giorno nel ricordo dei suoi cari e di chi gli ha voluto bene! The sweetest, kindest, most giving man. Be loved his family so much and he always had a smile on his face. About 7 years ago he ran into my dad at the store and my dad told him it was my birthday. The next thing he did was buy a birthday cake and when my dad was leaving, he handed the cake to my dad and told him to wish me a happy birthday. I am so thankful to have known him.

I was a little girl, maybe 4 yrs old, when our family sponsored his immigration. A joyous occasion when he arrived, this man with the huge smile who didn’t know a word of English! When lunch was ready, my Mom would tell me to go get Sam - hence, my first word in Italian - “Mangia, Sam, mangia!” And his response (with that big smile) “Si, ‘Franzeenie’, si si”! I will always remember that smile and his kind and gentle heart. Many blessings to all of you.
