Obituary of Carl H. Semmler

Carl passed away surrounded by family and friends on Friday November 14, 2025. Carl was born in Rochester, NY on November 22, 1956. He is predeceased by his parents, Carl J. and Martha Semmler, brothers John and Hugh and brother-in-law, David Cashion. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Eileen; his sons, Daniel (Jennifer) and Jonathan (Courtney); grandchildren Emily, Wesley and Ethan; sisters-in-law, Sue Smith and Anita Semmler, nieces, Jessica (David) Suatoni and Kaitlyn Semmler; grandnephews, Charlie and Oliver Suatoni, cousins and many good friends.

Carl had a long career in manufacturing, much of it at Eastman Kodak Company, where his technical skills were always in high demand. He retired from L3Harris Technologies in 2019. As his sons will attest, Carl could fix anything. He was always quick to help with any repairs and taught them so much over the years.

In 1974 he met the love of his life, his wife Eileen, and they built a wonderful life together working and raising a family in Greece and then Pittsford, NY. In 2021 they purchased a home on Honeymoon Island in Florida where he made many new friends and enjoyed the sun, salt air and fellowship.

He enjoyed traveling, exploring new places and meeting new people. His real passions revolved around family and friends. He was always there to lend a hand or spend time with someone who needed it. He loved his many years studying martial arts and riding his Harley Davidson with good friends but most of all he loved the time he spent with his sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 4pm – 7pm at Falvo Funeral Home 1295 Fpt. Nine Mile Pt. Rd. Webster, N.Y. 14580. On Thursday, please meet the family at 11am for his Funeral Mass at Church of the Transfiguration 50 West Bloomfield Rd Pittsford, N.Y. 14534.
