Obituary of Hung M. Tran

Hung Tran, 41, entered eternal life on November 12 after a courageous battle with gastric cancer. A man of deep Catholic faith, Hung lived his life with humility, compassion, and trust in God’s plan.

Born in Vietnam and raised in Rochester from age 10, Hung dedicated himself to his family and church. He is survived by his loving wife Chau; his daughters Lucy and Emma; stepdaughter Anna; his parents Mai Thi Gai and Tran Van Dong; and many siblings, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Hung served his parish generously and joyfully. He loved traveling with his family and brought laughter through his witty, gentle humor.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 21 from 4-8pm at Falvo Funeral Home in Webster. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, November 22 at 8 AM at The Parish of the Holy Family.
