Obituary of Fortunato Dolce

FAIRPORT - Fortunato “Lucky” Dolce, 78, passed away on Saturday 20, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Lucky was born in Campofelice di Roccella, Sicily on December 1, 1946, to the late Antonino and Concetta Dolce. He lived a great life full of love for his family, relatives and friends. Lucky was always there to lend a hand. 

Predeceased by his sister, Anna (Antonino) Cirincione. He was survived by his beloved wife of 53 years Aurora Dolce, son Anthony (Lisa) Dolce, daughter Lisa (Joseph) Hillier and son Joseph Dolce. He is survived by his grandchildren he loved so dearly: Nicholas and Zachary Dolce, Joseph, Samuel, Marc, Jon, Ava and Jack Hillier.

He is survived by his sister Rosa (Antonino), Muscarella and brother in law Salvatore (Adina) Lopez and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Lucky spent 39 years working at Xerox. He spent his spare time enjoying his family and friends. Lucky loved celebrating with laughter and music with his friends. His spare time was also spent tending to his garden, which he was so proud of. Lucky enjoyed time spent hunting with his brother in law, son and nephews. His greatest passion of all was his grandchildren and time spent with them. 

A heartfelt thank you to the many nurses and doctors at Strong Hospital’s Palliative Care Unit. The compassionate care and kindness will never be forgotten.

Calling hours will be held at Falvo Funeral Home, 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Point Road, Webster, NY 14580, on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 4:00pm-7:00pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Saint Jerome's Church, 207 Garfield St, East Rochester, NY 14445, on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 9:30am. Final committal at White Haven Memorial Park.

Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at Strong Hospital.
