Obituary of Sandra S. Vancheri

Sandra S. Vancheri, 74, of Rochester NY passed away after a brief illness on August 30, 2025 surrounded by her family.

Born in Olean, NY, Sandra was the daughter of the late Arthur and Irma Disorbo. She lived a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication, leaving a mark on the hearts of those who knew her.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles D. Vancheri. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Jason) Wilson; son, Charles (Shannan)Vancheri. She is also survived by her grandchildren who she was immensely proud of: AJ (Morgan) Richeal, Brooke (Colin) Guy, Tyler (Sara) Richeal, Jacob Wilson, Ava and Charlie Vancheri. Her legacy also extends to her four great-grandchildren; Brayden, Jackson, Brynlee and Mia. She is also survived by her brother Ronald Disorbo and Sister-in-law Donna (Jay) Perez, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Sandra spent her professional life as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), dedicating her skills and compassion to the nursing homes in the Rochester area and also contributing her talents to Rochester General Hospital for many years. Her commitment to caring for others was a reflection of her kind heart and nurturing spirit.

Sandra enjoyed spending time with her family, often sharing moments filled with joy and laughter. An avid country music fan, she especially had a great love of the music of Garth Brooks and Kenny Rogers. Known for her quick wit and sense of humor, Sandra had a talent for making those around her smile, often joking with family and friends. Her fierce loyalty to her loved ones was evident in everything she did, always making time for those she cared about deeply.

A heartfelt thank you is extended to the caregivers at Monroe Community Hospital Hospice, whose selfless dedication and compassionate care ensured that Sandra’s final days were filled with dignity and love. Your kindness will never be forgotten.

A celebration of Sandra’s life will be held on Wednesday September 10, 2025, at Falvo Funeral Home (1295 Fairport Nine Mile Line Rd. Webster NY 14580) where family and friends are invited to gather from 4:00 - 7:00 PM to honor her memory.
