Obituary of Michael Henning
Michael Henning, 57, passed away unexpectedly on August 22, 2025.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1989 to 1993 and was a Desert Storm veteran.
A member of the Elks Lodge in Webster, NY, Michael was deeply respected for his service, his dedication, and his unwavering love of family.
Michael is survived by his devoted wife, Noreen Gallagher Henning; his beloved sons, Michael Henning and Matthew Henning (Amanda Caruso); his loving mother, Beverly Henning (Salvatore Morabito); his sister, Kimberly Davis (Andrew Davis); and nieces Sophie and Chloe Davis. He is also survived by his father-in-law, Gary Gallagher (Lauranne O'Neil Gallagher); brother-in-law, Joshua Gallagher; sisters-in-law, Nicole Gallagher and Kelly (Cliff) LaBelle; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. He was predeceased by his father, Michael Henning, his mother-in-law, Sherry Gallagher, and grandparents.
Known for his big heart, quick wit, and sense of humor, Michael could light up a room with laughter.
To know him was truly to love him. Above all else, he was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. His four dogs, who adored him, will also miss his presence deeply.
Michael built a career as a self-employed contractor specializing in home improvements and remodeling. He was also an avid hunter, a great cook, and a constant source of support and generosity to family and friends.
He will be fondly remembered by his closest friends-Michael VanRoo, Bob Snover, Dave Voigt, and Michael Subrani-along with many others whose lives he touched.
Michael leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness. His memory will be carried forward in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 27th from 10 AM- 12 PM with a service to follow at 12 Noon, both at Falvo Funeral Home, 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Point Road (Rte. 250) Webster, NY 14580. Interment Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
Donations may be made to Wounded Warriors Project in Mike’s honor.
