I was so saddened to hear of Chuck's passing. He was a wonderful neighbor during the years raising my kids on Green Pine Lane. I remember the sound of music coming from their house and I missed it after they moved. We kept in touch through Facebook. He posted interesting tidbits, jokes and many pictures of his adorable grand nephews and the summer home on the St. Lawrence. He had a beautiful smile and a kind heart. He will be missed. My heartfelt condolences to the family.

My family met Chuck at the Webster Rec playing pickleball. We did not go often because we had a toddler and newborn but I’d always be welcomed by Chuck with a smile and he’d taken interest in our girls. He’d always ask how we are doing and how the girls are doing. He genuinely cared, and for a mom who was overwhelmed with her young babies, he was so comforting and loving to our family. He even watched them for a short time while my husband and I played. Chuck was such a vibrant and loving soul who will be greatly missed. My sincere condolences to his family and loved ones.
I am with you always. ~Mathew 28:20

Mary, David, Cindy and all the families,
I send my sincerest condolences and prayers regarding the passing of Chuck. There are not adequate words to describe Chuck's wonderful spirit and the blessing he was and will be in our memories to me and all those who loved him. So many memories of growing up, families getting together, marrying Mary, raising a family... so, so many. I send my love and prayers and please know that Chuck will be in my heart forever.
Sincerely,

Mark and I send our deepest sympathies and prayers to Mary and all the family. We just chatted with Chuck at our table, at the Arise and Go concert. Chuck was always kind and always smiling. It was always good to see him with his bodhran at a session. He will be greatly missed.
Unfortunately, Mark and I will be out-of-town during the viewing and funeral, but we will definitely be thinking of Chuck, Mary, and the family at that time.

I was sorry to hear of Chuck's passing. I worked at all 3 Durand's Rent-All locations at various times in the early '90's. Although I only passively knew him as my employer, Chuck always struck me as a good and genuine man.

To say Chuck will be missed is a huge understatement. Chuck had a massive impact on my life. He is the reason I went to Clarkson where I met my late wife Diana. Diana and I moved to Rochester to join Durand’s Rent-All and start Grease ‘n Go. My two children were born in Rochester while we lived there. I miss you cousin! You were a fantastic person, always caring and loving.

Rennie and I send our deepest condolences to you and your family. I have loved being Chuck's Facebook friend over the years, seeing all his photos of your family and the lake and river. We will always remember the time we spent together with the Kodak commercial when our first born babies made the final commercial together.

I met Chuck on my first day at Penfield HS. He was the kind junior who took pity on a confused sophomore and helped me find my classroom. For the next two years, I would see that smile and feel a bit less lost. We lost contact after he graduated.
Then, a few years ago, I got a friend request on Facebook, and I am so glad I accepted it. I have enjoyed his humor, photos, and thoughts.
I was truly blessed to have known Chuck. My thoughts are with his family.

I still have a heavy heart thinking I will never see Chuckie again. I believe we met a Browncroft Church where we both served. Later we played pickleball. Chuck always had a smile on his face and was kindhearted. We was proud to be an elder at church and wanted me to go to his church. I have attended the last two weeks in his honor. I miss you Chuck!

Chuck and I played pickleball together for many years. He would always talk me into playing in a tournament ...even though he knew I didn't like tournaments. But it was always fun to play with him. He would always tease me that I was older than he was (by 1 month!!). Chuck was a kind sweet man ... We had many laughs together.. I will miss that man.

Mary and family, I’m at a loss to hear of Chuck’s passing. Many memories of wonderful (and sometimes crazy) times spent with him flood my mind once again. From Clarkson soccer, to fraternity adventures, ringing the bell at Clarkson hockey games, to being roommates in The Pit, to working together in the family rental business, to being a small part of his and Mary’s special wedding day, just over 48 years ago now, they’re all great memories. I’m not alone in saying this, if you were a friend of Chuck’s, you were a friend for life. I can’t ever remember seeing him angry with someone, or without a kind word to say. His smile was the assurance that the friendship was authentic and lasting. Chuck is taken too soon, he will be greatly missed. My prayer is that God’s grace and love will be sufficient to comfort all who mourn his loss.

Proud of his college years achievements in soccer and at THE HOUSE !
Always enjoyed and appreciated Chuck’s company and devotion to Clarkson’s soccer and hockey program, players, and alumni. These 10 BELL RINGS-just for you Chuck !! YITBOS my friend. Rest easy.

I played trumpet with Chuck in the jazz band in high school and new him fairly well. Both Chuck and I looked 12 when we were 17. Chuck was always upbeat and happy. One of the posts on Facebook said he was kind and gentle. Never a judgement or criticism came out of his mouth. He was always positive. Chuck was a good guy and we will miss him. Jay Armstrong
