Obituary of Dolores A. Stacco
Dolores A. Stacco
Passed away on August 12, 2025, surrounded by loved ones, at age 95. Predeceased by her Parents, Lawrence and Florence Stacco; Aunt, Rose Friscarella. Survived by beloved Niece and Goddaughter, Robyn Leah Grammatico; Great Niece, Luciana Leah August Grammatico; Nephews, Robert Butera, Ronald (Denise Nacca) Butera.
Born in Rochester, New York on August 9, 1930, Dolores graduated from Benjamin Franklin High School, then attended Rochester Business Institute. She worked for Monroe County, retiring from the Legal Department in 1989.
In 1970, Dolores survived breast cancer, and was fortunate to enjoy excellent health for many years thereafter.
Dolores lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed traveling and the theater. She loved sports from golf to bowling, and from skiing to watching football games. An avid shopper, she had a great sense of style.
Dolores was a loving, devoted daughter to her parents throughout their lives, as well as a loving, devoted Godmother and Auntie. In her later years, her greatest joy was doting on Luciana and attending her many school events. She loved watching Luciana perform, dance, and sing. Lovingly referred to as “Auntie,” Dolores was a very important part of Luciana’s life. The first thing Luciana did when she came home from school was to run to her Auntie's room to let her know she was home.
This brought such joy to Dolores as she welcomed Luciana with a hug and a beautiful, happy smile. Luciana shared every aspect of her day with her loving Auntie -- her artwork, homework, report cards, and what she did in school.
Dolores was an integral part of our family and we loved having her live with us these past 13 years. She brought much love, joy, and wisdom to my daughter Luciana, my brothers Robert and Ronald, and to me as well. Dolores loved our extended family and dearest friends, joining us in many events and excursions.
Dolores was such a vital part of our family. We will miss her every day, but she will always live on in our hearts and in the memories we share of her. Rest in peace, dear Auntie.
Please join the family on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 11am at the Creation Chapel in White Haven Memorial Park for her Funeral Service. Entombment White Haven Memorial Park.
