Obituary of Yolanda C. Bonaffine

Yolanda (Viola/Vi) Carmela (Ne' Zanni) Bonaffine - Our Beloved Mom passed away peacefully at 95 years old.  Mom joined her husband Joe, granddaughter Jaime LaRosa, parents Rose and Benne, brother Nicki, sisters Mary, Theresa and Anna, including many family members and dear friends in heaven on July 27, 2025.

     Survived by her daughters Carol LaRosa, Joanne (Mike) Marsh, Michele (Glenn) Davenport, grandchildren Jason LaRosa, Chad (Emily) Davenport, Lindsey (Michael) DeLuca and Michael Marsh, great granddaughters Adriana LaRosa and Daisy Davenport, her brother Antonio (Butch) as well as many Beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and cherished friends.

     Vi was proud of graduating from St. Joseph's Commercial Business School working at several banks and corporations as a keypunch operator for payroll until her retirement from Kodak.  She was trained as a hair stylist too cutting our hair as children, also doing permanent treatments for grandma and other family members.  After retiring Mom continued to work part time enjoying the social connections through the many friendships she nurtured. 

     Mom was happy, full of life always enjoying staying busy.  She stayed physically active for many years attending exercise classes at the Y and Line Dancing.  She treasured her time with family and friends playing cards with various groups of friends including the renowned Rumikub game.  She loved playing bingo, win or lose!

     Mom very much enjoyed listening to music especially live concerts and until Dad's death shared a skillful rhythm and true love for dancing with him.

     Her faith and positive attitude allowed her to touch many lives with her friendly Spirit, humor and bright lipstick smile.  Thank you to all the caregivers who brought comfort to Mom and all of us.  Mom will be deeply missed by all.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 5, from 5pm - 7pm at Falvo Funeral Home 1395 North Goodman St. Rochester, N.Y. Please join the family on Wednesday, August 6, at 10:30am at Annunciation Church for the celebration of her Funeral Mass.
