Joseph Cutaia

Thursday, July 24, 2025 at age 86. Predeceased by his parents Giovanna (Jenny) and Giuseppe Cutaia; brothers Frank, Charlie Cutaia, brother-in-law Sam Martella and sister-in-law Teresa Cutaia. Survived by his sisters Doris (Albert) Grimaudo, Antoinette Martella, Joan (Fred) Mione; brothers Sam Cutaia, Angelo (Nancy) Cutaia and sister-in-law Bonnie Cutaia; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Joe was born in Grotte Sicily, Italy where he arrived in Rochester as a teenager.  Joe (along with his sister Joan) lived with his Uncle Frank and Aunt Mary Bianchi and their family until the rest of the family arrived and were settled. Joe was employed as a painter until a work accident ended his career.  He loved all kinds of sports, especially bowling and the Yankees, his favorite team.  Joe spent most of his later years under the care of his brothers Sam and Angelo.  

Calling hours will be held at Falvo Funeral Home at 1295 Fairport Nine Line Point Road, Webster on Friday, August 8th from 4-7pm. Please meet the family at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (2461 Lake Ave. Gate) on Saturday, August 9th at 11am for his Service. Interment to follow. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials made be made to the American Heart Association.
