Obituary of Charles D. Vancheri
Charles “Charlie” DeCarlo Vancheri
92 of Rochester, NY, passed away on 07/24/2025, after a long illness, surrounded by his family. He was born on 7/24/1933 in Rochester, NY to the late Ann (DeCarlo) and Clementi Vancheri.
He was a devoted and loving Husband, Father, Brother, Grandfather, Uncle and Friend. He was drafted into the US Army in 1953 and proudly served during the Korean War in heavy mortars. He spent his professional career as an insurance agent at Nationwide, and after retirement worked at The Home Depot, which he enjoyed immensely.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and watching the NY Yankees and Buffalo Bills and was actively involved in The American Legion post 134 in Irondequoit for many years and briefly served as commander. He will be remembered for his jokes, love of karate movies, Frank Sinatra, his immense heart and dedication to his family.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra; children, Lisa (Jason) Wilson and Chuck (Shannan) Vancheri; Grandchildren, AJ (Morgan) Richeal, Brooke (Colin) Guy, Tyler (Sara) Richeal, Jake Wilson, Ava Vancheri, Charlie Vancheri; Great-Grandchildren, Brayden, Jackson, Brynlee and Mia; Sister, Donna (Jay) Perez; Brother in Law, Ronald Disorbo.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 31 from 4-7pm at Falvo Funeral Home (1295 Fairport Nine Mile Point Rd, Webster NY 14580.)
