Obituary of James M. Moscato
James M. Moscato “Doc”
Unexpectedly, at home in Port St. Lucie, FL on Friday June 20, 2025. Born in Rochester, NY on May 9, 1948 and moved to Florida in 2016.
Predeceased by his parents James and Beatrice (DeSantis) Moscato, sister Marie Foxton and brother-in-law Kevin Seymour.
Survived by his loving sisters Rosemary Seymour and Judy (Joseph) DiGuardi, Barbara Moscato, Loving Companion Debbie Stadulis. Adoring nieces Paula (James Muir) Miceli, Angela (Nicholas), Ranalletti, Carla (Giovanni) Mangione, Gina (Salvatore Broccolo) DiGuardi. Goddaughters Erika Foxton and Kim Bennett. Nephew Jacob Moscato. Also, many other nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, godchildren and friends.
Jimmy attended St. Andrew’s School and Bishop Kearney High School.
He was proud of his Italian heritage and loved his big Italian family. We have many wonderful memories of special times together and especially of his incredible sense of humor.
Jimmy was proud to be a Viet Nam Veteran and of his service in the US Army 101st Airborne Division “Screaming Eagles” as a combat medic paratrooper from 1967 to 1970. He continued his service as a member of the Patriot Guard Riders in Rochester and Port St. Lucie.
His passion was motorcycle riding. He rode with his many friends in Rochester and then PSL where he belonged to the American Legion and Elks Riders community service organizations.
He also found great joy in nature especially bird watching, plants and trees, and the night sky, both in New York and Florida.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, from 4pm-7pm at Falvo Funeral Home at 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Point Rd. (Rte. 250), Webster, NY. Funeral Mass on Friday July 25, 2025 at 10:00 am at St. Cecelia’s Church at 2732 Culver Rd., Rochester, NY. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
