Obituary of Paul Sam Ferrara

Webster: Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at age 98. Paul passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family.

Paul is predeceased by his wife Angelina (Polizzi) Ferrara; his parents, Antonio and Nancy Ferrara; and siblings. He is survived by his children, Anthony (Charlene) Ferrara, Joseph(Marianne) Ferrara, Rita (James) Amorese, Paula (Gary) Freedman. He is also survived by manygrandchildren and great grandchildren: brother-in-law, Peter Bruno: and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Paul was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. His favorite times were spent with his family. He was an avid bowler, bocci player and gardener. He loved building a collection of family memories. He will be greatly missed by all.

Paul worked at Gleason Works for over 38 years and served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a proud veteran. A very special thanks to his long term caregivers at home; Fiona, Beth, Cheryl, Fred, Crystal, LaRita and daughter, Rita. Special thanks to the caregivers at the Webster Comfort Care Home and the Veteran’s Administration.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025, from 4pm-7pm at Falvo Funeral Home at 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Point Road (Rte. 250), Webster, NY. A celebration of his life will be held at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini
Parish at Annunciation Church, 1754 Norton Street, Rochester, NY 14609 on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at 10am. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing, may contribute to the Webster Comfort Care Home or the Golisano Children’s Hospital or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
