Obituary of Gail Frances McArthur

Gail McArthur died peacefully at her Rochester home on Friday, June 13th. She was 81.

Originally from Basking Ridge, New Jersey, Gail attended local schools and graduated from Bernards High.

Gails's goal from childhood was to become a nurse so, after high school , she enrolled in the nursing program at Alfred University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1965. For the next sixty years, Gail would be employed as a Registered Nurse at Strong Memorial Hospital and St. John's Home. Notwithstanding the demands and challenges, Gail found nursing to be her calling, and she felt fortunate to be performing this work with long-time friends and colleagues. 

Gail is survived by her sister, Barbara Donelik (John) and her devoted friend, and partner of 34 years Richard Plumeri.

Visitation  will be Monday June 23rd, from 4pm to 6pm at Falvo Funeral Home, 1395 N. Goodman Street, Rochester, NY 14609. A Service in witness to the resurrection will be held in Basking Ridge at a future date.
