Obituary of Phyllis Hope Tumminelli-Capuano

ROCHESTER- Phyllis Hope Capuano-Tumminelli, 76, Passed away peacefully on June 6, 2025, at age 76, surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Predeceased by her parents, Michael Tumminelli and Josephine DiNoto, her beloved sister, Roseann Bartlett, and her brother, Joseph Tumminelli.

She is  survived by her devoted stepdaughters, Roseanna and Christina (Chris) Capuano, her Grandson, Frankie, her brothers, John (Sharon) Tumminelli, Sam (Carole) Tumminelli, and Michael(Margie) Tumminelli,  her brother in law, Ronald Bartlett, her sister in law Patricia Tumminelli, her aunt Libbie Tumminelli, and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Phyllis lived a career and life rooted in compassion, strength, and fierce loyalty. She was a leader, a daughter, sister, friend, and mother- and in the end, a fighter. Her sense of humor never faded, even in the hardest moments, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who had the honor to know her.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 11, from 4 – 7 pm at Falvo Funeral Home 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Point Road Webster, NY. On Thursday, please meet the family at Christ the King Church (445 Kings Highway) at 10:00am for her Funeral Mass followed by entombment at Holy Sepulchre cemetery.
