Survived by her loving children, Robert (Kathy Trotto) Cupello, Nelson (Molly) Cupello, Emilia (Andrew) Giacalone; Grandchildren, Nelson James (Danielle) Cupello, Lesley (Patrick) Young, David (Christine) Giacalone, Timothy (Brianna) Cupello, Ryan (Sarah) Cupello, Andrew Giacalone, Jonathan (Ashley) Trotto and David Trotto; Great-grandchildren, Christopher Masters, Alex Masters, Reid Cupello, Jude Cupello, Adalyn Giacalone, Andrew Giacalone, Kinley Cupello, Nelson Michael Cupello; Sister-in-law, Mena Aquilone; several nieces and nephews both here and in Italy.

Lena was a remarkable woman who defied expectations and embraced life’s extraordinary experiences. She was a skilled homemaker who had an excellent talent for cooking, a passionate enthusiast of life, and a true trailblazer.

In 1949, she made the decision to depart from her native Italy for Brazil. However, her journey did not conclude there. She returned to her homeland in 1958 and subsequently embarked on a new adventure to the United States in 1959. She dedicated 25 years to her position at Hickey Freeman and another 5 years at Adrian Jules.

Nonna held her grandchildren in the highest regard. They were her cherished treasures and her love for them was boundless.

The family would like to thank the staff on 6SW, especially her devoted nurse, Sergio, who gave her exceptional care and love throughout her stay.  Sergio’s smile, love, and devotion went above and beyond all of our expectations. You were all angels in her life.
