



Obituary of Christine L. Skotnicki
Rochester-Christine L. (Berent) Skotnicki, 87, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. Christine was born in Shamokin, PA to the late John and Helen Berent.
Christine is predeceased by her husband Henry Skotnicki and brother Tom Berent. Christine is survived by her four children, Steve (Lisa) Skotnicki, Stephanie (Randy) Mazzochetti, Margaret (Tim) Shone and Michele Nelson. She is also survived by her grandchildren Amy (Vic) Sandu, Greg Skotnicki, Matthew Skotnicki, Brian (Alexandra) Mazzochetti, Alyssa (Ryan) Mulhern, Richard (Megan) Shone, Brianna Shone. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Elijah and Roman Sandu, Charlotte and Rylie Mulhern and Vivianna Mazzochetti and many nieces and nephews.
The family will greet visitors at the Parkes Family Chapel at St. Ann's Home, 1500 Portland Ave., Rochester, NY 14621 on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at 12 pm, with mass to follow at 1:00 pm. Burial will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Rochester, NY.
The family would like to thank the amazing nurses, CNA's and entire staff at St. Ann's Nursing Home for the kindness,compassion and care given to Christine for the 5.5 years she was a resident but most recently the empathy and compassion shown to her and her family these last few weeks.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Ann's Home for the Aged at the above address for the care and compassion they continue to provide.
