Obituary of Richard C. Notargiacomo

Richard C. Notargiacomo, 72, passed away suddenly on May 3, 2025.

Born and raised in Rye, New York, Rich graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1974 and earned a graduate degree from the University of Rochester in 1978. He moved to Rochester to begin a 34-year career at Eastman Kodak, where he met his wife of 42 years, Elaine. Rich was a respected leader in his field and served as president of the Product Development and Management Association (PDMA). Most recently, he continued supporting innovation and entrepreneurship through his work at RIT’s Venture Creations.

Rich was a man of many talents and passions. He enjoyed golfing with friends, photography, and playing the piano. A gifted woodworker, he crafted beautiful pieces for his home. He was active in his neighborhood photography club and served as treasurer of the HOA. He was also a longtime board member of Hillside Children’s Center, demonstrating his commitment to community and service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Angela and Alfred Notargiacomo. He is survived by his beloved wife, Elaine; his children, Susan (Demetrios) Atheneos and Mark (Lauren); his cherished grandchildren, Stella, Zoe, Leonidas, and Luke; and his brother, Robert (Sherri).

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 8, from 4pm - 7pm at Falvo Funeral Home 1295 Fpt. Nine Mile Pt. Rd. Webster, N.Y. 14580. On Friday, please join the family for his Funeral Mass at 10:30am at Holy Trinity Church 1460 Ridge Rd. Webster, N.Y. 14580. Inurnment is private.
