So sorry to hear this news today as I logged into my RIT email. Rich recruited me over breakfast to coach student biz teams and i admired how he shared his insights / experiences with students over the past 10 years. RIP.

I am going to miss Rich dearly. He’s been a mentor of mine these past several years, and I can’t imagine having a more amazing mentor and coach. I know he cared deeply about his children, grandchildren, and family. You were the world to him, and I hope you all know what an incredible mark he’s left on so many people in our community.

So sorry for your loss. Rich was one of the first partners I met with when I started at NextCorps. He was welcoming, warm, and ALWAYS so helpful. He loved what he did and it showed in the energy and commitment he gave when working with founders, partners and the university. He will be really missed. May the wisdom he shared continue to inspire everyone who was lucky enough to work with him!

I had the pleasure of getting to know Rich rather well when I was Dean of Saunders College of Business. We met regularly to discuss matters with Venture Creations and student consulting projects. More than that, Rich was an excellent thought partner, providing wise counsel on a variety of matters. He was such a nice guy, he made a difference to so many sudents and to the Greater Rochester entrepreneurial ecosystem, and he will be missed.

We at the Sign-Speak team are deeply shocked and saddened by Richard's passing. We had the honor of working with him on sign language recognition and avatar technology. Richard was an incredible coach—he constantly pushed us to think critically about both the market and the technology.
I will always remember his wisdom. His feedback helped us test our business hypotheses faster and more effectively. We are truly grateful for the impact he had on our team.
May he rest in peace. Thank you, Richard, for the many lives and teams you’ve touched, including ours at Sign-Speak. Your loss is deeply felt.

I'm so sorry to hear of Rich's passing. I met Rich when he taught in the EMBA program at RIT. We both taught the EMBA capstone course. Rich had such a nice touch with the students--high performance standards, but a real feel for them as individuals with families, jobs, and responsibilities beyond the program. As I was approaching retirement, a bit earlier than Rich, I remember him discussing the new house he was moving into in Webster and his setup for his piano playing an musical setup. I always felt uplifted after talking with him. My deepest condolences to his family.

My sincere condolences to the family. A good man has passed away. I met Rich at the beginning of my teaching career at RIT in 2009. He and I worked together in the early years of the Online EMBA Capstone course to help build it into integral part of the nationally ranked online EMBA program it is today. Both of us being ex Kodak we shared many stories from our time there. He will be missed.

I loved working with Rich as he taught, coached and mentored students in Saunders College of Business. His willingness to meet each student where they were at and guide them to becoming the best they could be was part of what made his such an amazing educator. His sense of humor was always a highlight of my conversations with him. He has certainly left his mark of those of us who had the pleasure of working with him.
