Obituary of Richard N. Franco

Passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025, at age 72.

Predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Mary Franco; Brother, Joseph Franco. Survived by his loving wife, Valerie; Devoted children, Jessica Franco (Tony) DiFante, Richard Franco and Nicki (Todd) Franco-Loucks; Granddaughter, Sophia Franco; Step-grandchildren, Mackenzie Loucks and Tristian Loucks; Brother, Thomas Franco; Nieces, nephews and friends.

Richard devoted 25 years of his life to the Rochester Fire Department, serving with immense pride, courage, and a heart full of compassion. His calling to help others was not just a duty but a way of life, one that extended deeply into his cherished role as a family man. Throughout his life, Richard worked tirelessly, often balancing two jobs and running his own business with unwavering determination and grit. His hard work was a testament to his selflessness, always striving to provide for those he loved most. He found joy in the quiet moments by the lake, where the beauty of the sunsets brought him peace, and in fixing cars, a passion that reflected his knack for bringing things to life with his hands. Richard’s generosity knew no bounds—he gave everything he had to help his family and others, his kindness leaving an indelible mark on countless lives. Above all, he was a devoted husband of 55 years, steadfast and loving, and a nurturing father whose warmth and strength shaped his children’s lives. His legacy of love, service, and sacrifice will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday April 15, 2025, from 4pm-7pm at Falvo Funeral Home 1295 Fpt. Nine Mile Pt. Rd. Webster. On Wednesday April 16, 2025, please join the family for his Funeral Mass at 11am at Holy Spirit Church (1355 Hatch Rd. Webster, NY 14580). Interment Webster Rural Cemetery.
