Obituary of Carmen Correa Wilson

Carmen Milagros Correa-Wilson
Born Carmen Milagros Melendez Correa on August 11, 1952, to Carlos M. Correa and Matilde Melendez, Carmen Milagros Correa-Wilson, 72, of Rochester, NY, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Over the years, she was also known as Carmen Diaz, and Carmen Branch, before taking the name Correa-Wilson.

She was a devoted mother to her three sons: Bernardo (and Windy Diaz), Ernesto (and Kim Littleton), and Edwardo (and Sevonna Diaz).

She is survived by many grandchildren: Andre Diaz, Britainy Diaz, Anthony Diaz, Detrion Diaz, Kiontae Harper, Nadia Diaz, Vittorio Diaz, Nia Diaz, Vanity Diaz, Kymberly Diaz, Alexsis Diaz, Laila Diaz, Tyler Clark, Dallas Diaz, and Destiny Diaz; 29 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved deeply.

Carmen is also survived by her siblings:

Immediate siblings: Merida Porrata and Wally Correa

Half-siblings: Nancy Calderon, Carlos Correa, M. Correiurka, Brunilda Serrano, Dominga Martinez, Alice Collazo, Rocky Colon, Madelyn Colon, and Nillian Colon

She also leaves behind many beloved extended family members who brought her great joy.

It was Carmen’s wish to be cremated, with her ashes returned home and spread on the beach in Salinas, Puerto Rico.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
