Obituary of Frank J. Carra

Frank Carra

 

On March 26, 2025, at the age of 75, Frank passed peacefully surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his parents, Frank P. and Margaret Carra. Survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Nancy; Devoted children, Tracy (Douglas) Rich, Danielle (Chris) Roach, Meghan (Brian) Cleversey and Frank (Nicole) Carra; Adoring grandchildren, Elena, Emily(Riley), Abby, Jack, Allison, Samantha, Kaitlyn, Ella, William and Aiden; Great-grandchildren, Declan and Georgia; Siblings, Angela Zazubec, Mark (Kim) Carra, Mary (Ron) Sokol; Sisters and brother in law: MaryEllen DiMarco and Donald (Sandy) Cerra. Frank also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

 

Frank enjoyed a long career as a machinist at General Motors/Valeo.  The family the he and Nancy created  were his true pride and joy, cherishing every moment he spent with them.  He loved sharing his talents of baking, gardening, woodworking  and special projects. There was nothing that Papa Boy couldn’t fix - “Papa fix-it” was a common mantra. For those fortunate enough to have known Frank, he leaves behind not just memories, but a loving legacy of kindness and strength.

 

The family also wishes to thank his exceptional care team at the University of Rochester including Dr Shannon Pitts, her staff and the compassionate care team at 8-3400.

 

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 27, from 3pm – 7pm at Falvo Funeral Home 1295 Fpt. Nine Mile Pt. Rd. Webster. On Friday, please join the family for his Funeral Mass at 11:15am at St. Theodore’s Church 168 Spencerport Rd Rochester. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
