Obituary of Kathryn E. Speicher

Kathryn (Katie) Elizabeth Speicher, 28, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2025, at Highland Hospital in Rochester, New York.  Katie was predeceased by her loving grandparents, Charles A. Speicher, Anne M. Speicher, and Richard J. Burmaster.  Katie is survived by her grandmother Elizabeth Burmaster, her father Shaun P. Speicher, her mother Mary E. Speicher, and her brother John P. Speicher. 

Katie was born in Rochester and lived with her parents in Webster NY.  With her loving parents and wonderful little brother, Katie built a wonderful life surrounded by friends who became family, neighbors of Pepper Ridge who became guardians, and friends from St. John Fisher who became Aunts and Uncles.  To everyone, she was our “Katie Bug”. 

Katie loved spending time surrounded by love and laughter.  Katie, rode horses, ice skated, enjoyed Disney, swam with dolphins, loved laughing with her friends at 1018 Wickerton Lane, family vacations in Duck, NC, and smiling with patrons at Barry’s Irish Pub.  Katie inherited her love of music, especially the Beatles, and Paul McCartney & Wings.  Katie loved spending time with her family.  Especially at Cape Cod.  Katie loved going for walks in her chair with Mom and Dad on “the Avenues”.   Katie loved swimming at the nearby beach which had a beautiful sandbar where Katie could experience Nantucket Sound and all it’s glory.  We would call Katie our “Cape Cod Girl.”  Most of all, Katie loved to love. 

Visiting hours will be held at Falvo Funeral Home at 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Point Rd, Webster NY 14580 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday March 28^th.    Funeral Services will be held at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, 783 Hard Rd, Webster NY 14580 at 9:30 AM on Saturday March 29^th.  Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery located at 2461 Lake Ave, Rochester NY 14612.  . 

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Cobblestone Art Center in memory of beloved “Katie Bug”.  Contributions can be made at Cobblestone Arts Center (www.cobblestoneartscenter.com).
