Wish I had a photo with him, probably would but the schools rule is no phones, but he was the most considerate and kind man who would give anything to help the students at Halpern, he will live on in my heart as a great man and a great nurse, live it up up there man, I remember shaving my head, and being nervous about how I look and Mr. Arena would simply say "it never affected me" those wise words made me love this man forever, rest in peace, 71 and still had it, 71 and still came back to school even AFTER health issues, I love you man, we love you - on behalf of current and past hillside students and staff

Mike was my best friend for 50 years and my Best Man. I first met him when we were Respiratory Therapists at Rochester General. I had just moved to Rochester and knew very few people. Michael welcomed me and we instantly found a bond. He was the kindest and most loyal friend anyone could have. I considered him like a brother. I will miss our many lunches and dinners as well as our traditional rides together. Your are with the Lord now and he will give you peace.

I had the privilege of working with Mike in child &adolescent psychiatry at strong hospital. He helped train me when I was a brand new nurse and was always so kind to everyone. His compassion for our patients and passion for his career was evident to anyone who knew him. He will be dearly missed

As my preceptor as a new nurse nearly 10 years ago, Mike helped me become the professional that I am today. Mike had a way of teaching and providing feedback that was second-to-none, and he always made you feel welcome. The nursing community has lost a wonderful soul, and he will be deeply missed.

Michael was an extraordinary nurse and leader. He had a unique ability to help kids feel cared for and safe, even in the most difficult situations. His therapeutic presence was always a calming intervention to those in emotional distress. His infectious laugh and that smile that warmed up a room and touched the hearts of so many. I don't think Mike ever turned down an opportunity to help someone in need. Wishing peace and comfort to his family, he will be dearly missed by many.

Mike was a wonderful Respiratory Therapist and an even better nurse. We all loved working with him on the night shift where he was kind, caring and competent. He helped so many little ones...his angel wings await.

I worked with Michael at Strong Memorial Hospital! Life and death isn't fair! Michael was probably one of the nicest human beings I have ever known!
